Nigerian rapper, Vector Tha Viper has announced that himself alongside other Nigerian artistes, are set to break a World Record with rap.
According to Vector during a chat with PlanetTV, he revealed he is doing this because he wants to put Nigeria on the map with RAP as they plan to rap for over 13 hours non-stop. Artistes planning this with Vector include; Yung6ix, Chinko Ekun, Jesse and Stage One.
The Lafiaji crooner also made mention that he needs Nigerians to be proud of their rappers and this is one way to make that possible.
According to Vector, in an Instagram video:
“We are about to set a Guinness book of world record, we are working on it. At this point, we are about to break a world record with rap. We are going to put Nigeria on the map. Apart from myself, we have Yung6ix, Chinkoekun, Stage one and Jesse.”

Only problem is the longest individual freestyle rap record is held by Arkano who rapped non-stop for 24 hours, 34 minutes and 27 seconds last year. while the longest freestyle rap by a team lasted 12 hours and 2 minutes and was achieved by KJ52 Freestyle Team (USA), in Tampa, Florida, USA, on January 12, 2014. It’s unclear if Vector did his research.
In fact, before Arkano, an American rapper called Murs rapped for 24 hours and 15 minutes. The closet to Vector’s goal of thirteen hours is a pre-existing record of 9-hours that was previously held by Canadian rapper, Chiddy Bang in 2011.
