Ghanaian actor Nelson Mandela Jnr has passed away, throwing the local film industry into deep shock and mourning.
The young and vibrant actor, who rose to prominence after his role in the film Fuck Boys, died outside the country. Details surrounding his death have not yet been disclosed, however, the sad news was confirmed on Monday, January 12, by film producer Dela Finn, who described Mandela Jnr’s passing as unexpected and heartbreaking.
According to him, the actor was full of life and had been eager to return to Ghana to continue work on several ongoing and upcoming film projects.
His death comes just days after he shared a series of motivational messages on social media, posts that have since taken on a painful significance. In a post dated January 5, he wrote, “I will face the microphone a lot this year. I have a lot to say!” In another message, he encouraged consistency and positivity, stating, “Be consistent with what you do positively and the result will never let you down.”
