Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, co-founder and co-executive producer of Africa’s most promising media and entertainment startups, TNC Africa, will speak at Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) on Friday, April 29, 2022.

Gbemi OO as she’s popularly called, is a former broadcaster at The Beat 99.9 FM and also the co-host of ‘Off-Air with Gbemi & Toolz.’ During her over 14 years of on-air hosting, she has won numerous prestigious awards including Future Awards Africa’s 2008 on-air personality of the year.

The celebrated broadcaster has consistently participated in the leading Pan-African entertainment event over the years. Speaking with Netng ahead of the event, she said, “With NECLive, you will know that the organisers are passionate about the industry. The conversations are rich and impactful. I love attending the conference to learn and network because I’m confident that I will meet stakeholders in the African entertainment industry.”

NECLive, renowned as West Africa’s most prominent gathering of entertainment professionals, has held eight successful editions with over 470 speakers and panellists, 70 exhibitions and brands, and 14,000 physical attendees.

This ninth edition of the annual entertainment conference is organised by ID Africa in partnership with AV Edge, MTV Base, African Movie Channel, 7Even Interactive Limited, MultiChoice, Trace TV, X3M Ideas, Legit.ng, Mirus Events, Naija FM, The Beat FM, Top Radio, PinPoint Media, Classic FM, Huce Valeris, The GreenRoom Nigeria, Landmark Centre, Plaqad, and BHM.

The Conference remains a marketplace for innovative ideas, products, and the unveiling of dynamic solutions that will connect, engage, and encourage industry collaborations for sustainable socio-economic development; while offering a brighter future on the continent.

This year, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi will join other African entertainment experts to discuss the theme, “Sustaining the Africa Momentum.”

Confirmed speakers include brand expert Sylvester Chauke, actor and comedian, Mr Macaroni, founder of ChessInSlums – Tunde Onakoya, Dr. Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, Aline Gahongayire – Rwandan gospel music star, Broadcaster Osi Suave, Tolulope Adeleru-Balogun – Head of Programmes at News Central, and Sam Onyemelukwe – media executive.
