As we all know, another soccer season is here with us which happens to be the biggest and most attractive tournament in our part of the world, which is obviously the African Cup of Nations widely known as CAN 2017.

The Mutashi Movement would like to seize the opportunity to congratulate the gallant black stars of Ghana for qualifying for the tournament which will be taking place in Gabon, starting from today.

We are aware that the Black Stars might not be in the good books of many Ghanaians due to previous happenings. However, as a movement advocating for patriotism, empowerment and unity, we have not called you the media here to apportion blame or lambast but rather to plead with Ghanaians to let go of previous mishaps and throw our total support once again behind the team.

Martin Luther King once said ” darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate can’t drive out hate, only love can do that” Thus, the reason for our call for a total support for the black stars.

Ghana which is currently ranked 9th in Africa and 54th in the world as we all know, has been to the finals 9 good times. We have won 4 cups and lost 5 finals, winning our last cup in 1982. We as a group strongly believe and humbly suggest we all rekindle and renew our love and commitment to our senior national team once again. When the team is given the needed national support, the tendency for them to excel will be very high.

The Mutashi movement also believes our dear nation Ghana is noted by many nations for our soccer prowess, endowed football stars, our track record with regards to our consistency par excellence on the pitch among other factors. We nearly made history in the 2010 World Cup tournament, and have really proven to be a force to reckon with when it comes to the game of football. Truly, all these accolades, laurels and fame wouldn’t have been possible without the support, prayers and guidance of you fellow Ghanaians watching us.

We humbly call on you all to join us give our unflinching support to the Black Stars in Gabon either spiritually or physically for a successful tournament. We also call on the team members to remain more patriotic, give off their best and have it at the back of their minds that Ghana is behind them no matter the circumstance. We ask you to strive strenuously to attain the popular height of great men who never relented on their oars. You shall surely be in a comfortable lead no matter what!

Go Ghana, go high! Together we can rekindle the 2006 and 2010 world cup enthusiasm and spirit. Together we can make it work.

God bless our homeland Ghana

God bless the Black Stars of Ghana

God bless Mutashi Movement Ghana
