Meet Akan, son of Obrafour, everyone’s talking about

Two years ago, Obrafour introduced us to his son but I guess we weren’t paying attention. Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko, popularly known as Obrafour, who started music at an early age of 23 years is still celebrated in Ghana for his debut album #PaeMuKa which was released 20 years ago.

About two years ago, another rapper jumped onto the Ghanaian music scene and since then, fans of this rapper have compared him with his father Obrafour and even the legendary Okomfo Kwadee.

Not long ago, Okomfo Kwadee tweeted about this young rapper stating that he is “The future”.

Sarkodie, Efya and Edem also shared their sentiments about this same rapper who everyone wanted to listen to.

Akan is the rapper these superstars were talking about and we’re learning he is the first son of Legend Obrafour.

Beyond the striking resemblance, Akan and Obrafour have been spotted together severally engaged in a public display of affection. Even at the recent Pae Mu Ka concert, Obrafour was seen praying with his “son” before mounting the stage. Also there has been tweets which further ignites the question and thoughts of “if Akan is really the son of Obrafour?”

If he is really the son of Obrafour, then Ghana should watch out of this young talent.
