Rapper Flowking Stone has talked about the challenges in living in Kumasi and keeping up with trends in Accra, when it comes to promoting his music.
He told Ameyaw Debrah in an interview that “The cultural dynamics are different. When you are from Takoradi and you live in Accra like Kofi Kinaata or Castro, it is ok. They will still hail you, you will be the king in Takoradi. When you are like Teephlow from Cape Coast, it is still ok but for where I come from, the moment you leave the city to go and live elsewhere it means you have abandoned the city and it means you’re an outcast.
Over the years it has been a big challenge for me because I love my city so much. I think it is just in my blood and I represent that in my brand. “
He added that he’s had to travel back and forth to Accra because Accra is the heartbeat of the entertainment industry.
