First daughter Ivanka Trump is showing us that she learnt a thing or two from Melania Trump when it comes to her fashion sense.
The 43-year-old first gave us quite the look in her emerald green skirt suit with a matching hat earlier on Monday at the Donald Trump’s Inauguration event.
For the Inauguration ball, Ivanka decided to pay homage to Hollywood. She wore a custom Givenchy Haute Couture on her dad’s inaugural Liberty Ball in Washington, DC, Monday night.
Ivanka’s outfit is a beautiful black-and-white dress with fitted silhouette and elegant details, including delicate lace and a dramatic neckline that many believe closely resembles the wedding dress worn by a prominent celebrity.
It is reported that this look a re-creation of a Hubert de Givenchy look designed for Audrey Hepburn in “Sabrina.”
This was confirmed by a White House rep, who says the First daughter was “honored” to wear the gown and “incredibly grateful [to the] Arnault family and the Givenchy atelier for creating this masterpiece, capturing the original artistry and elegance with remarkable precision and craftsmanship.”
On why Ivanka Trump decided to recreate this \Hollywood piece, the White House rep said, “Audrey Hepburn has long been a personal inspiration to Ivanka.
“She views it as a great privilege to honor her legacy in this way, and is incredibly grateful to the team at Givenchy for bringing this moment to life.”
To complete her look, the first daughter wore her blond hair in a sleek French twist and accessorized with black opera gloves and pumps, along with a diamond necklace and floral-inspired studs from Leviev.
