Nigerian DJ and philanthropist, Florence Otedola aka DJ Cuppy seems to be on the roll these days in her supposed search for a husband.
The billionaire daughter, took to almost all her social media platforms on Tuesday to announce her new intentions to find a man and went ahead to list her specifications.
This has since sparked outrage on social media as many ladies were shocked she posted the same on LinkedIn which most people consider as a “professional” platform.
The post will draw lots of reactions with many thinking the popular DJ is now desperate to find a husband.
“Cuppy you do not need to do this. Please don’t be desperate or seem desperate or these men will take advantage of you” one X user identified as @sofie_Lovee wrote in response.
Another, @potoms_ wrote, “DJ Cuppy creating a brand of desperate bachelorett is wild. I see what she’s doing. I know she’s clowning and I don’t find it funny.”
Others went ahead to suggest some men for Cuppy to consider in her marriage plans.
This is not the first time the talented DJ is speaking about marriage in recent times though.
“God may I be so deep in you that my husband has to seek you first before he may find me,” she tweeted days ago with a dove, ring and hand emojis.
Also, in January, the billionaire daughter gave the impression that she would have loved to be a mother and in a relationship.
In a post on social media, she added that notwithstanding this, she has been able to do what she wants all the time.
“Being a single, childless woman in her 30’s is terrible. All I ever do is exactly what I want all the time,” she wrote on X.
The big question though is that are these actually signs of desperation?
Cuppy’s last public relationship was in 2022, when she confirmed she was with Ryan Taylor, the UK boxer, after a viral video suggested a marriage proposal.
She later explained that they got engaged after 25 days of knowing each other.
However, in July 2023, the pair sparked rumours they were no longer together after they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Cuppy later opened up about the failed relationship while talking about the setbacks in her life at an event.
Since then, she has not gone public with any other relationship, which of course adds fuel to the ‘desperate to get married’ gossip mill.
But then, Cuppy who turned 32 a few days ago has also had a great year doing charities, as well as DJ-ing some of the biggest events. As expected, these moves rarely go viral.
For some, Cuppy might seem desperate to be hooked, but this is most likely not the case.
It might actually be that Cuppy is just having fun on her socials.
This is not the first time she will pick a topic and totally go off.
There was a time Cuppy was all over football.
The Gelato singer was a one-time ‘frustrated’ Arsenal fan who even posted a video of herself crying when she finally dumped the football club.
At the time, almost everyone understood she was just airing her thoughts and giving us some fun on the timeline.
There was also the time she did get baptized and publicized her new spiritual journey.
At the end of the day, we can say Cuppy is just doing what she knows how to do best which is having fun while trying to stay on the trend table and on everyone’s lips like many other entertainers!
