The movie features 2-time GMA Winner actor Deyemi Okanlawon who has featured in several Ghanaian productions including If Tomorrow Never Comes produced by Yvonne Nelson, An African City by Nicole Amateifo, No Man’s Land by Salma Munin and Sink or Swim by Prince Richard. The premiere will have Ghana’s top celebrities in attendance who have stated their intention to see the much talked-about movie.
Dinner is a dramatic thriller that challenges perspectives on relationships and blows wide open silent taboos that are never discussed. Starring Deyemi Okanlawon, Kehinde Bankole, Enyinna Nwigwe, Keira Hewatch, Okey Uzoeshi and award winning veterans Richard Mofe-Damijo and Iretiola Doyle.
Adetunde George Jnr (Enyinna Nwigwe) invites his buddies Richard Boyo (Deyemi Okanlawon) and Mike Okafor (Okey Uzoeshi) to dinner and to spend the weekend with him and his fiancée Lola Coker (Kehinde Bankole) as they plan for their upcoming wedding. Mike decides to seize the opportunity to propose to his girlfriend Diane Bassey (Keira Hewatch) and asks her to come along. Things get out of hand when they arrive at Jnr’s house and find out secrets about each other’s relationships and the one person in the middle of it all.
Dinner is written, directed and produced by Jay Franklyn Jituboh, director of the short film “Once” selected at the 2015 Durban International Film Festival. The official soundtrack, “Good Time”, taken off Nigerian soul singer Maka’s EP ‘The Truth’, is produced by Str8buttah’s Teck-Zilla.
