Just like every year, the 2024 BET Awards had Nigerians on the edge of their seats, eagerly waiting to see if our stars like Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, and Seyi Vibez would bring home the glory. Despite the anticipation, the awards didn’t go entirely our way this time, with only Tems clinching an award.
This year’s event moved from the Microsoft Theater to the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and was hosted once again by the fabulous Taraji P. Henson.
While the nominations had us buzzing with excitement, the winners’ announcements left us a bit disappointed. But, the night wasn’t without its highlights. Usher received the Lifetime Achievement Award, a moment that truly stood out during the live broadcast.
