Angel Sunset Drive wins “Radio Programme Of The Year” at Hyperlinks Media Awards

The maiden edition of the just ended Hyperlinks Media awards was successful one. It took place at the Radach Lodge and Conference Center in Tamale on Saturday 15th of December which saw lots of media personnel from every corner of the country coming together to celebrate the excellence of the media.

Gerry Gee (De General) as popularly known but Zakaria Luqman by birth ,the host of Angel Sunset Drive on Angel 96.9mhz in Tamale lead the whole team to carry the “Radio Program “.
Angel Sunset Drive is just 10 months old as it was initiated and hosted by Gerry Gee. The program took off on the 1st of February this year (2018) when the station commenced its official programs after months of test transmission.

Gerry Gee who also is the head of Lynx Entertainment for Northern Sector (Brong Ahafo, Northern Region, Upper East and West) and the head of Sunset Entertainment, known to be an event organizing firm was contacted as to how Angel Sunset Drive was able to win this special award as its 70% akan and 30% English in competition with Dagbali programs in Dagbali land and also saw massive competition with programs like
Diamond Power Drive – Diamond Fm
Showbiz Agenda – Zylofon Fm
City CBS – City Fm
Rok News Paper Review – Rok Fm
Wake Up Tamale – Radio Tamale and others.

And he said

Ayisha and Hadi, the executive producers of the radio show, Angel Sunset Drive were present to receive the plaque of behalf of the team as Gerry Gee as head wasn’t around to receive the award. A word of thanks was given by Ayisha to all the fans and listeners of Angel Sunset Drive.
