The fifth (5th)edition of All Africa Music Awards was climaxed on Saturday,  24th November 2018 at the Accra International Conference Centre .

The Awards Night earmarked to celebrate African artistes and their crafts was thronged by artistes ,industry players and stakeholders from the four (4) subregions of the black continent.

This year’s event will be very indelible in minds of Ghanaians, especially, music lovers due to the outstanding and unprecedented successes chalked by Ghanaian artistes with regards to the winning of Awards .

The night saw Ghanaian artistes win awards in several categories .

It started with the legendary Group, Osibisa who received the legendary award ,  the 2018 VGMAs discovery of the year, Kuame Eugene thrilled fans by winning the most promising artiste in Africa , as though that were not enough, his brother from the lynx Camp ,Kidi was also adjudged best artiste in contemporary African music  , Sarkcess music boss , Sarkodie picked  the best inspirational song award with his “Glory”  whiles his contender , Manifest won the best artiste hip hop with “mene woa” which featured the sensational King Promise  ,  Stonebwoy and his Dancehall rival , Shatta Wale won the beat reggae /dancehall artiste and Best video of the year respectively , finally, the danceable song which crossed boarders of Africa with lot of waves “Akwaba” which had Pappy Kojo and Patapaa featured was adjudged the best song of the year.

It was more or less like a host and win affair as rightly said by the minister of Tourism ,Culture and Creative Arts , Madam Catherine Afeku ,

Kudos to all the award winners ,especially those from Ghana for making Motherland proud.

This year’s AFRIMA was one of the memorable events despite its trifle challenges .

It had great performances from many artistes  including 2baba, Stonebwoy, Wiyaala, King Promise , Praize etc…

The ultimate award which is the artiste of the year went to the “FIA”  hit maker, Davido ..

We are looking forward to meeting again in Ghana next year for the 6th edition of AFRIMA..
