2018 Arigato Stylist Event Concludes as Kanekalon Appreciates Partners, Stylists

It was indeed an evening of appreciation to the Hair and Beauty industry as Kanekalon concluded yet another Arigato Stylist event(Arigato means Thank you, in Japanese).

Stars of the evening were Kanekalon partners—Darling and X-pression, Hair Distributors, and of course, the hair stylists and stylists’ associations, Miss Kanekalon 2018–Stephanie Iloabachie and 1st Runner Up, Miss Kanekalon 2018, Treasure Obasi were also amongst other big shots in the industry.

The event kicked off with captivating displays from MC Bella Rose and MC/Comedian Mario, after which Yemisi Omojafor, the Deputy Managing Director, STB MCCANN LAGOS (Kanekalon advertising agency and member of the McCann Worldgroup) officially welcomed guests with a heartwarming speech. Reminding stakeholders at the event that Kanekalon has been at the forefront of manufacturing quality synthetic fibre for many years, he urged guests to create happy memories and laughter at the occasion as the occasion is all about them.

Mr. Sohei Nishida of Kanekalon presented guests with various gifts to stylists, partners and hair distributors as a token of appreciation.

The guests spent a few hours of pure enjoyment with hair shows, experiential activities, dances and quizzes with lots of prizes.  They were also audience to Miss Kanekalon 2018, Stephanie Iloabachie and her 1st Runner Up, TreasureObasi,who took to the stage, delighting guests by sharing their experiences since becoming Kanekalon brand ambassadors.

They also spoke of the outstanding benefits of the Kanekalon brand and the many opportunities it has given them, as well as the history and insights into the Kanekalon hair fibre features, especially flame retardant as the feature is unique to Kanelaon fiber. Using the event as a medium, Miss Iloabachie and Miss Obasi invited stylists and guests to head over to the Kanekalon AfricaFacebook page (www.facebook.com/kanekalonafricapage) and follow closely as the opportunity to become the next Miss Kanekalon will soon be open with application starting January 2019 on the page.

The Kanekalon beauty pageant is a yearly event where young and innovative ladies team up with creative stylists to enter for the chance to be Miss Kanekalon. The pageant is one of a kind as it not only rewards pageant queens, but also their stylists.

On a final note, Tetsuya Kato who is the Head of the Kanekalon Group, Kaneka Corporation, gave the closing remarks, recognizing the efforts of partners, distributors and stylists in making Kanekalon products and the Arigato Stylist Event a success.
