Zylofon Media, an Accra-based multimedia entertainment company has outdoored a new scheme called Zylofon Arts Fund (ZAF).
The scheme is to transform the entertainment industry due to the lack of funding, hence provide financial support for the creative arts industry. They also made some provocative, inspiring and thoughtful comments about business growth, societal growth, individual growth, and leading change over the years. The Zylofon Arts Fund (ZAF) was launched on Friday, January 19, 2018 at a press conference held at the company’s headquarters at East Legon, Accra.
Samuel Baah, head of communication and a radio anchor addressed the press and initiated key points about how the company intends to start up the enterprise with $1M fund.
In his assertions, he made it clear the purpose of the money is revamp our creative arts industry particularly individuals under the umbrella of the creative arts like artists, journalists, bloggers, song writers, producers, presenters, djs, etc who have substantial work plans but less capital or no capital. It’s also important to note that, it’s a lifetime fund.
The interest free fund has a 5 member administrative board who will scrunize and analyze submitted applications of creative arts personalities who apply before issuing the needed amount of money when necessary. According to him, the cash is to help creative arts personalities who have projects but less or no capital. The entertainment company plans of sustaining the fund and keep it running investing 10% of the profit the company makes from their worldwide business to support it. Business partners and affiliates like Menzgold and other companies will embrace the newly launched scheme and support. Aside that, fund raising concerts will be organized in and outside the country to set ablaze the plan. Interested applicants can send their applications to Zylofon Headquarters at East Legon in Accra for review.
