She explained in a Facebook post that there have been reports that she had stolen from a lodge and she wanted to clarify her position on the matter. Her post insinuates that the issue of her having stolen things from the lodge had a negative effect on her career and Skimbo’s video worsened the situation thus she felt she had to discipline Skimbo although it was wrong.
She said: “The video Skimbo made was of further damage, it was humiliating and character assassinating. I decided to take advantage of the situation and flexed some muscles but it was wrong.”
In her post, she goes on to say that the video of Skimbo licking her foot was not meant to humiliate him but she thought she would stage the greatest entertainment act in the history of Zimbabwean dancehall.
Squanda took this chance on her post to apologise to every Zimbabwean, authorities and to Skimbo and his fans and she promises to do better next time. She says she is ready to go through all the legal procedures and vows to push for a non-violent dancehall industry as well as partner with organizations that advocate for a non-violent Zimbabwe.
However, Skimbo says he only read about the apology on Facebook and Squanda hasn’t apologised directly to him and they still don’t know where she is.
“I haven’t received an apology from her; I only saw the Facebook post. We still don’t know where she is but the other thugs were arrested and we are going for court today,” he said.
