Zimbabwean comedian, Carl Joshua Ncube recently set a new world record for the longest stretch of performances before paying audiences in a week’s time by staging a total of 31 shows, beating the previous record by Australia’s Mark Murphy of a total of 30.

Ncube’s shows were held between August 17 and 23 in South Africa, Harare, Kadoma, Gweru, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls crushing Murphy’s long term record which he held for a decade since 2007.

Ncube and his team are currently amassing evidence that they may use to submit to the Guinness Book of World Records.

“I know that I broke a world record, you know that I broke a world record. Now we have to compile all this evidence to convince GUINESS WORLD RECORDS that I broke a world record,’ Ncube posted on his official Facebook page on Wednesday.

He added that; “Whatever the OUTCOME….Zimbabwe won and has BRAGGING RIGHTS.”
