Comedian Bovi has broken his silence on the ‘rape jokes’ conversation that is currently consuming social media.
In case you missed it, AY the comedian is still catching a lot of flak for his insensitive comments that attempted to dismiss Kemen’s sexual predation as simply normal. Speaking at his show last night in Lagos, AY had asked Nigerians to forgive Kemen and move on, and this was after mocking the victim – TBoss, right in front of the abuser.
“Please encourage this young man, that’s all I said. He no kill person! Make he come die? Even God sef forgive all of us,” he said.
AY’s words have been heavily criticised by many people. And to ensure that their favourite comedian never falls into the same trap, fans hit up Bovi on Twitter and begged him never to crack insensitive jokes.
Well, the comedian wasn’t too please by that because he subtly slammed his own fans for voicing their concerns.
