Nigerian fashion model, Mayowa Nicholas has announced that she would be walking the Victoria Secret Fashion Show.
She made the announcement via her Instagram account writing,
Words cannot describe how happy and honoured I am announcing that I will be walking the Victoria Secret Fashion Show this year. Looking forward to sharing the runway with all the powerful and beautiful women in the show. Thank you so much to the entire Victoria secret team for believing in me again. Indeed God’s time is always the best.
This comes a year after she narrowly missed out on the much coveted show in China last year. Mayowa will become the second Nigerian since Oluchi Onweagba to walk for Victoria’s Secret.
The 20 year old will also join fellow top models like Winne Harlow, Barbara Palvin and Kelly Gale who are also making their debut.
The date and venue for this year’s Victoria Secret Fashion Show is yet to be announced but speculations are that it would most like hold around November in China for the second year in a row.
Victoria’s Secret angels are usually supermodels and it is considered the pinnacle of modelling with top notch models like Giselle Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio modelling for the lingerie line.
