The fashion crowd came out for the very first edition of New Nigeria – an event which aims to “bring awareness to an emerging subculture of Nigerian influential creatives and entrepreneurs who reside in Nigeria, and also across the diaspora.”
The debut event was hosted by fashion blogger Temi Otedola who interviewed superstar stylist and shoe designer Ade Samuel “on the power of social media influence, entrepreneurship, and the assets needed in order to successfully run a business as a woman in today’s society.”
Ade, a Nigerian stylist based in USA is responsible for the amazing styles of superstars like Jhene Aiko, Big Sean, Kelly Rowland, and more recently, Yvonne Orji.
In the audience to listen to the two talk fashion and business were Ugo Mozie, Lisa Folawiyo, Osas Ajibade, Denola Grey, Stephanie Coker, Yagazie Emezi, Adebayo Oke-Lawal and DJ Cuppy among others.
