Actor Bill Cosby was moments ago sentenced to 3 to 20 years in prison after he was found guilty of a 2004 sexual offence.
The 81-year-old who has been accused of sexual harassment by tens of women was in April found guilty on three counts of sexual assault for drugging and molesting a woman named Andrea Constand.
A judge in Pennsylvania gave the jail sentence and ordered that he be categorised as a sexually violent predator, which means he must undergo counselling for life and be listed on the sex offender registry.
He was taken straight from the court to the prison in handcuffs after the judge denied his lawyer’s motion to allow him remain free on bail pending an appeal.
