The African Bonfire Studio is proud to announce the release of a new song titled Look To You by Jamaican superstar Etana featuring one of Kenya most iconic voices Dan Aceda.

Wonderfully crafted arrangement and melody construction of Look To You allows the soaring vocals of Etana to shine through.

In her own words “It’s always interesting working with someone from another country. There’s a vibe,” Etana said, “I introduce them to my culture and they introduce me to there’s though we may be already known in our areas”

Dan Aceda’s own performance in this song is as soulful and emotional as he’s ever been. It’s evidence of the exponential growth that his sound has achieved since his last record in how his soulful smooth style dovetails with Etana’s power.

“I have always admired Etana and really followed her music. So I wanted to work with her for a long time. When my team reached out and sent her the demos and her team got back. We sealed the deal when she was here earlier this year,” Dan said.

He continued saying that getting the project underway and completing it was not as easy, “It was as complex as all collabos. Scheduling alone was maybe two weeks of our lives. But because of the high skill levels on both sides, things eventually started flowing and we finished it in two days.”

This song was recorded in both Nairobi and Jamaica and mixed and mastered to the highest international standards.  The video was also shot in multiple locations in both Kenya and Jamaica and was directed by award-winning Kenyan filmmaker Robby Bresson. It features work by Jamaican filmmaker Mykal Cushnie who has worked with other superstars such as Sean Paul, Popcaan and others. The final cut and sync was done by prolific Kenyan outfit Team Mistari.

The song is the lead single off Dan Aceda’s upcoming album and is immediately available on all digital outlets for streaming and download worldwide including Itunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, TIDAL and many others.

Additionally, in Kenya, Look To You is available on waabeh.com for download and streaming. We are excited to make this unique Nairobi to Jamaica offering to the world at this time and look forward to many more collaborations of this nature to come.

The project “I look to you” is a collaboration between Etana from Jamaica and Dan Aceda from Kenya.
