In a trailer released teasing the next instalment of HBO’s hit series, Cersei Lannister (played by Lena Headey) is greedy for power through whatever means necessary.
The Queen of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros says;
”My only venture at this moment is reestablishing control over this continent and every person on it.”
She can also be seen striking a deal with the Iron Bank, but only if the Lannisters deliver the gold from Highgarden.
Following on from episode three which saw Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) suffer another humiliating defeat, it appears the Mother of Dragons has had enough of failure.
“All my allies are gone, I’m losing,” she admits to Jon Snow (Kit Harington) on the shores of Dragonstone.
Along with losing the Iron Islanders’ fleet in episode two, Daenerys lost important allies the Greyjoys and House Martell, plus House Tyrell has now been destroyed due to Jaime Lannister’s (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) attack on Highgarden.
Being outsmarted has taken it’s toll on the daughter of the Mad King who declares:
”Enough with the clever plans!”
