Miss Commonwealth 2017, in pursuit of her foundation’s objectives and slogan “Spread The Love”, showed inmates of Royal Seed Orphanage of Bawjiase Papasi No.1 in the Central region of Ghana love by visiting, and also interacting with them.

She made donations worth thousands of cedis to the inmates of the facility as part her commitment to helping the less privileged in the society.

Miss Princess Duncan, the winner of the Commonwealth Beauty pageant, in the company of her father, Dr Samuel Ato Duncan, as well as other stars such as ace Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu, Miss UN 2017 referred to as Miss Rebecca and Baaba of TV3’s Ghana’s Most beautiful fame. The donation in partnership with Center for Awareness (COA).

In her interaction with her hosts, Miss Duncan expressed her excitement being with them on Valentine’s Day and alluded to the reason the orphanage was selected out of many. She acknowledged the Orphanage’s aims and said that was the reason why the Foundation chose Royal Seed.

She also appealed to other philanthropists not to forget that people in the orphanage also have needs, both physically and emotionally.

She also used the opportunity to solicit support for the Orphanage home.

She entreated the staff taking care of the home to deal with the inmates with patience and Love as they are the most important needs of the inmates of the home while admonishing the children to take education seriously.

Kwaku Manu advised the inmates not to compare their situation to anybody’s because they are fortunate than others. He also encouraged them that challenges are meant to build a person not to destroy one. He also strongly cautioned the inmates to remain chaste and morally upright all the time through his usual style of endless humour.

Naomi Esi Asamoah on behalf of the Orphanage expressed the joy the presence of the celebrities brings to the inmates. She also acknowledged that there was no better way for the younger ones to experience the love of the Valentine day than having interaction with the superstars to whom most of them look up to.

She expressed the Home’s gratitude to Miss Duncan, Center of Awareness and Princess Duncan Foundation for their immense support and made the humble appeal that this gesture should not be a one-time affair.

The donation was a collaboration between Princess Duncan Foundation and the Centre of Awareness.

The Princess Duncan Foundation is an NGO founded by Miss Princess Duncan, winner of the 2017 Commonwealth Beauty Pageant held in the U. K.

The foundation seeks to promote the welfare of the vulnerable and marginalized people in the Ghanaian society and by extension, Africa as the whole through fundraising to embark on charity and humanitarian projects.
