I’ve seen couple of posts asking what’s new with Beatz Dakay so I decided to link him up to run an an exclusive with him. During the interview we discussed his upcoming projects, stuffs he’s currently working on, people he’s working with among other related issues. According to him, he’s bolstering up each day to make his production image more colorful and valuable.
Again, he’s working on another monster riddim to storm and awaken the sleeping spirit of other producers. And also let people know Beatz Dakay remains the beatz god. As you all know, the beat produces the hit.
He even drew my attention to how he became the celebrated producer he is today. Did you know Dakay use to be a one time best break dancer in Ashasec? In case you didn’t know now you know, he was formerly a break dance champion known as ‘Darkness’ in Ashiaman senior high school in 2006.
He was first exposed to sound production at One Blaze, a popular studio located at community. 1, Tema. During his dancing days, he visited the for the first time objectively to record a beat so he could use to perform at a school gathering. As soon as he got there, he fell in love with the art of beat making. That’s how it all started.
Recalling how he got the name Dakay, someone mistakenly called him Dakoo instead on ‘Darkness’. Later he went ahead to weave the name Dakay to fit the image he premeditated.
Growing up, he was a hardcore fan of Hammer of the last 2. This is because of how he plays his kicks, manner he programs, masters, the way exercises patience when making beats. Other hidden reasons are inclusive.
He added more life to his relationship with the Bhimnation president by painting beautiful pictures of how the journey stated, how gifted they both are, the trying times and other spellbinding stuffs. Striking part of the conversation was when he established that, Stonebwoy is and will always remain his favorite artists.
