Ghanaian blogger and PR, Elorm Beenie has advised rising stars and artiste managers to avoid rushing for interviews at the early stage of their career.
Elorm – who currently works with Africa 1 Media, Stonebwoy, Samini, Ras Kuuku, Rocky Dawuni and other top Ghanaian and international stars – believes it will serve rising stars good to watch and master the art of interview before attempting it.

He made this statement via Facebook on Wednesday, April 3, claiming that artistes should ‘spend time to watch interviews of other artistes/celebrities/veterans, especially the ‘hardest interviews’ so you hone your interviewing skills and how to respond to ‘rhetorically strategic’ questions set to test your ‘other side’’.

Elorm Beenie wrote (unedited):

“Dear Upcoming Ghanaian Musician,

I mean no harm ooo but please don’t be in a haste for interviews. Before you get on interviews please spend time to watch interviews of other artistes/celebrities/veterans, especially the ‘hardest interviews’ so you hone your interviewing skills and how to respond to ‘rhetorically strategic’ questions set to test your ‘other side’. And Managers/Managements, please don’t rush your budding artistes to get on interviews too quickly. The act of engaging interviews also forms part of the #Branding process and brand value cum validation; it is not only videos, photo shoots, recording or performing music that accentuates your worth as a ‘Musician’. I pray this humble post serves the purpose it’s meant for and I pray you take it in good faith. To whom it may concern. Kindly ignore if it’s not your worth
