Tsadidi, meaning “Journeying from one place to the other” in Ewe, is set to illuminate the vibrant tapestry of art, culture, tourism, and gastronomy at the Tsadidi Street Art Festival.
Organized by GlennSamm an esteemed Ghanaian visual storyteller and walking artiste, this event is a highlight of the Hogbetsotso Festival taking place this weekend.
Scheduled from November 3rd to 5th, the festival will be held at the venerable grounds of our forefathers’ home, Keta (Fort Prinzenstein).
The festivities kick off on November 3 with a lively Talk Party for Visual Art Students from in and around Keta, Anloga.
On November 4th, Saturday, an Art Procession will grace the streets of Keta, inviting attendees to don traditional attire and make their way to Fort Prinzenstein for an awe-inspiring showcase of art installations, spoken word, poetry, culminating in the night with the dazzling “Glow in the Night Party” and captivating performances throughout Keta township.
Come November 5th, Sunday, Tsadidi Food and Market Day will provide a delectable opportunity to savor traditional foods and locally-sourced produce.
Anticipate nothing short of an extraordinary immersion in the rich culture and heritage of the Volta Region. This year’s theme, “Identity,” underscores the profound connections that bind us all.
