Tosyn Bucknor ‘s widower, Aurélien Boyer made his first public appearance since her passing last week at her service of songs which took place at Harbour Point, Lagos yesterday.
The grief-stricken French-born Boyer has been away from the public in the days following his wife’s death. It was he who returned from work and discovered that she had died alone in their Victoria Island home.
At the service of songs in her honour, Boyer was seen with Tosyn’s immediate family looking on and wiping his face at intervals.
He also delivered a heart wrenching tribute to her recounting how he fell in love with her listening to her shows on radio.
The two got married in 2015 in a traditional Yoruba wedding in Lagos and followed it up with a private ceremony in Paris, France.
Days after her passing, he wrote that he felt as though a part of him and gone with her.
“That night, I felt I had gone. With you.
Next day, I could not stand all of them there. For you.
And then, I realized it was all love. Like you.
From then, they say I’ve been strong. It is true.
Every day, I stand together with all of us. To go through.
Last night, I realized how much. I miss you.”
