1. J Derobie :
He bought credit for himself after his freestyle video caught the eyes of social media users last year. What was supposed to be just a freestyle ended up as “Poverty”, a single that worked the magic for him to breakthrough mainstream media and a larger market. Jamaican dancehall act Popcaan has even jumped on the remix of single making waves across the length and breadth of Ghana and transcending beyond its borders. The song the arrested the special attention of Nigerian megastar Mr. Eazi. As part of his support system help upcoming artists, J Derobie was enlisted on “EMPAWA AFRICA” an initiative in search of brilliant and talented underground acts. Without any particle of doubt, he has ready market for his artistry. His “Poverty” video has attracted 1 million views on YouTube in just two months, that’s how evident and ready the world is, to embrace his music.
2. Kiyo Dee :
His artistry can only be compared to the beauty of rainbow. I love to call him a “360 artist” yet deeply rooted in trap music, RnB, pop and afrobeats. He is that kind of artist you listen to his self invented style of music and ask yourself how was he reasoning at the time he was bleeding out sellable and admirable records through creatively composed storylines coupled with level headed lyrics. His second mixtape Free Books Sold : Neptune Pantera peaked number one on iTunes upon it’s release last month. The truth to it is, the mixtape is lyrically rich, and he mainly handled most of the production work. The said mixtape is a follow up mixtape to his first project after been signed to Speech Production, titled Free Books Don’t Sell : Volume One.

3. Lamisi :
She’s a living testimony attesting to the fact, as a lady you don’t need to be a slay queen or expose your cleavage or pudenda to attract public attention. She believes timeless content is enough to attract the needed attention. Her debut album “Brighter Sided” is a classic example of such timeless records. It has received more positive reviews from critiques, radio and TV panelists and most importantly her fans. There’s something about her songs that will intrigue you to love her and follow the journey of world music expedition. It’s important to state that, she’s not signed to any record label yet, but her album is rich and worth listening to. Possibilities of reaching the heights reaching the Grammy’s is assuring.

4. Okailey Verse (OV) :
Okailey Verse better known as OV is another wild talent at heart. She kick started a professional career after emerging as the 2018 MTN Hitmaker overall winner. She got signed to Burniton Music Group after she arrested the interest of Bhimnation President, Stonebwoy with her artistic abilities. Reason is, she was mostly seen performing his songs in her own style and class during the competition. Currently, her debut single with Stonebwoy “Want Me” is the people’s favorite. She has the right attitude, demeanor, style and ready to execute the job.
5. Frequency :
Rapper, FreQuency astonished Ghanaians with his lyrical dexterity and wordplay prowess when the opportunity knocked at his door to get major feature of African’s best rapper and BET award winner Sarkodie’s “Biibi Ba” mega hit. As far as this list is concerned, FreQuency is blessed with ageless flow. He is also featured on Medikal’s yet to be released Uplugged EP, look out for it. He is among the selected few enlisted on Mr. Eazi’s “EMPAWA 100 INITIATIVE”.
