Highlife musician KK Fosu has replied online critics over his absence at the funeral of Ghanaian blogger and publicist John Claude Tamakloe.

In his post on X (Twitter) KK Fosu wrote : “Elorm Beenie, you and your guys are very funny to play with my name, go to apam police station and fight for justice for our brother Claude, the one who hit us with his car is walking freely my boy, don’t play with fire, it will burn you.”

The service, held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Tema Community 2, was attended by family, friends, and fellow bloggers.

The notable absence of the two artists sparked controversy, with some media personalities and fans expressing disapproval, as they were involved in the accident leading to Claude’s death, despite both having suffered broken legs during the incident.

According to a Facebook post by influencer Eric Toscar, a friend called KK Fosu’s manager to check if they were on their way to the funeral. The manager reportedly questioned why the friend hadn’t reminded him of the event the day before, suggesting that the artists did not attend.

The accident that led to Claude’s death occurred on Saturday, May 25, 2024, while he was en route with both singers to perform at a wedding ceremony. Nana Obiri Yeboah, the driver of their Toyota Camry, reported that their car collided head-on with a Benz. The Benz driver was attempting to overtake another vehicle when the crash happened.

John Claude, the chief editor at Beeniewords.com, was celebrated for his significant contributions to public relations and artist development, working with renowned names such as Grammy-winning Morgan Heritage, Rocky Dawuni, Stephanie Benson and Sarkodie, among others.
