Fashion Month 2018 has ended but we’re still feeling the impact.

This year’s fashion month had its own share of glamour and drama and was recorded to have the most diverse models of all sizes, from people of color to people living with disabilities and even pregnant women.

The venues were also unique. Brandon Maxwell had a Texas tailgate themed event while Prabal Gurung had a very colorful runway expressing the diversity of the models.

These are the top 3 most unique and iconic venues during Fashion Month.

3. Emporio Armani’s Airport:

Chanel has previously given is an airport themed venue but Armani’s SS19 collection was showcased in an actual airport.

The show was held at the Milan Linate Airport in the hanger with the Emporio Armani insignia and the eagle logo that has been there since 1996.

According to creative director Giorgio Armani, “Airports are places full of symbolism. They suggest unbounded openness to the world outside.”

The collection also followed the airport theme, with metallic and neutral colored clothing, sheer fabrics and box shorts and blazers.

2. Saint Laurent’s Waterlogged Runway:

Fashion Label Saint Laurent has previously held their runway way show beneath the Eiffel Tower before.

For their SS19 runway show, they took it up a notch by having a water logged runway illuminated by nearby electric palms.

The models also walked the runway with their shoes on. The collection featured a range of outfits from leather shorts to elegantly draped dresses all of which is the signature of the Saint Laurent woman.

1. #Chanelbythesea:

Known for their theatrical and thematic venues, Chanel had a beach themed venue for their SS19 collection.

Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais into a beach that had ocean waves, beach sand, a faint rocky mountain view and a hunky lifeguard.

Chanel gave off Riveira chic vibes in their SS19 collection. They also brought back 80s swimwear, cycling shorts and joined the growing Strawhat trend.
