Rich young Africans are making waves all over the world and today I bring you a spotlight on some of the richest kids from Kenyan. Born into a family of wealth, these kids are not only spending money but also making money.
Alvin Kabogo
Kiambu Governor William Kabogo is moneyed and enjoys a lavish lifestyle as demonstrated by making it rain on his supporters during the election period. And it rubs off on Alvin Kabogo.
Alvin is the youngest son to Kiambu Governor Kabogo and the brother to Andrew Kabogo.just like Kabogo, Kabogo Junior likes to stunt like his daddy, he is a big spender who parties in a limo and looks like he really does enjoy the good life.
In addition he studies at the University of Brighton where international student pay from around £12,330 to £14300 per year depending on which course and which level of education you are undertaking.
Dubai, London, Spain and Greece…these are just some of the places he visits during his summer breaks from Brighton University in the UK. For his 21st birthday, he went on a bender in Spain with a few close friends on a yacht.
Anerlisa Muigai
She is the daughter to Keroche Breweries founder and CEO Tabitha Karanja who was once named the Businesswoman of the Year in the CNBC Africa All Africa Business Leaders Awards.
Anerlisa owns her own company Nero which sells ‘Executive Water’ that is normally found in high end places and costs around 300 for a bottle of water.
Anerlisa is a huge fan of high end products and designers such as Tom Ford, Salvatore Ferragam, Coco Chanel. She is a fan of Lar Mer, a high-end cosmetics brand owned by Estée Lauder. Product prices range from $80-$1400. She owns high –end cars among them a Mercedes-Benz CLS 500, Range Rover and Bentley.
Saumu Mbuvi
She is the lovely daughter to Kenya’s most flamboyant politician. Like her dad, the young girl like to live large, she is a politician of sorts (student leader at JKUAT Karen) and is generous as demonstrated by her giving out cash to a group of disadvantaged people while holidaying at the Coast over the Christmas period.
She also own as Mercedes Benz.
The Kenyattas
Their dad is president, their grandpa was president and their family owns one of Kenya’s biggest dairy companies, Brookside, they own Mediamax the media conglomerate that K24, People Daily, Kameme and Milele F.M are under, Heritage Hotels, Commercial Bank of Africa and large vast of land. The family reportedly owns some of the most expensive schools in the country namely Brookhouse and Peponi schools
It is said that the grandmother has a net worth of $1 billion and in 2011 Uhuru made it to position 26 by Forbes Africa’s rich list. They are also related to, George Muhoho is the former M.D of Kenya Airports Authority.
With so much money in the family, it’s no wonder they can afford to enjoy a bountiful lifestyle
Jeff Kiboro
The young Kiboro is the son to the Nation Media Group Chairman Wilfred Kiboro who was also a chairman at Standard Chartered bank before he left it for a top spot at Family Bank
When Jeff Kiboro married Wacuka Gichohi, the guest list included Zambian First Lady Thandiwe Banda, Ida Odinga and the late Fidel Odinga who was one of the groomsmen. Such people do not attend your wedding unless you are affluent and influential.
Lupita Nyong’o
She is the daughter of Anyang’ Nyong’o one of Kenya’s most prolific politicians .Mr. Nyong’o is the Secretary General of the Orange Democratic Movement and is currently serving as the Senator for Kisumu County.
His daughter graduated from Hampshire College with a bachelor’s degree in film and theater studies and later completed a master’s degree in acting in 2012 from the Yale School of Drama. Yale is an Ivy League so the tuition fee is steep.
Lupita is said to be worth $500 thousand dollars that is approximately 46 Million Kshs!
Cynthia Wanyama
The younger sister to Southampton’s player Victor Wanyama leaves a flashy lifestyle, posting photos showing off her posh car and home. When she is not globetrotting to Europe, she is busy playing her favourite game, netball.
The eldest son of Kiambu County Governor. Andrew still lags behind younger brother Alvin who is popular in Kenya. Unlike Alvin, Andrew has stayed out of the public’s eye for the most part though his Instagram tells that he is living large.
Andrew recently showed off his designer watch worth around Ksh1.7 million. Its from a line of Swiss watches Audemars Piguet. He parties in high end night clubs such as Armani club in Dubai and hangs out with hot women such as this Arabian girl.
IAN WAIGURU
Ian Waiguru is the eldest son of former Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru. He is only 18 year old and music loving, forward minded, young entrepreneur and student who started his own company “Something Inc.”
