Eugene Baah known in music circles as Choirmaster or Praye Ho Ne Ho, has come to the defence of his wife, and actress, Beverly Afaglo.

Ghanaian social media users have trolled and attacked Beverly for creating a GoFundMe account to raise funds following a fire accident that destroyed her home.

Choirmaster posted a video of himself enjoying a heavy meal with the caption: “Even the Whole Ghana WEY dey brag say she get everything , CoCoa, Timber,Gold, Oil sef still dey go solicit for funds from Amanoni!
Ah well whether Support or Not enogo stop Me from eating My BANKU !
#TGIF 😅😅”

Social media users have referred to a previous video Beverly Afaglo made about people trying to destroy her marriage to say she is well to do, and so does not need any such support from the public.

Abu Iddris, Beverly Afaglo’s Manager has also written a statement on the matter as follows”

Shame on you all derogatory commenters in this time of despair. Shame on some bloggers and media platforms who chose to see content where there is pain!

Some reported the news on Beverley’s predicament from the angle of A-list celebrities sympathizing and not about what she had suffered. For them, it was about the numbers for trends and never about her situation. It’s a shame what journalism has been reduced to by some.

Now again some bloggers have chosen to push the negative comments on the fundraiser by some heartless people rather than the fundraiser itself for its cause. This brings me to wonder if some people even think or care. some typical Ghanaian bloggers, loudmouths, and empty heads; who rely heavily on bad news, people’s pain, and predicaments to go viral. A media house referred to some inhumane commenters as “good people”. Really? Of all that has happened to Beverly and her family? If she had died in the fire with her family, these same people, bloggers and media will be about how good or kind she has been and what what with fake stories. She survived with her family but lost everything and it is a sin or her fault that some friends have started a fundraiser on her behalf? What at all do Ghanaians want?!

Most of you have no iota of idea who Beverly is and what her story is. Some just got their evil-minded crafted stories out there with all bad intentions as content. Well done! The agenda to cause pain and to break a strong soul met with an unfortunate predicament is clear, we wish you all you wish for yourselves. May your evil goals be met.

To all those derogatory commenters on such a painful loss. Read this and learn something you did not know.

Beverly Afaglo never wanted to approve any fundraiser on her behalf. Her family has been by her side with support from the very moment she lost everything in that fire. In less than six hours she had a place to lay her head as well as a few items for personal upkeep. It didn’t come as a surprise to us because Beverly goes all out to help others.

That very night, right in front of me;  the family discussed on which of their properties to eject a tenant or two from, for Beverly to occupy. They have quite some joint inheritance they make money from as a family. Beverly retorted “no”! She couldn’t allow herself to be the reason a tenant or two will suddenly be under pressure to evacuate. Such a heart! She does not deserve all being said at her simply because some friends decided to set up a fundraiser on her behalf.

I can say for a fact that with or without the fundraiser, Beverly will rise again.

I practically had to force her to give us a go-ahead to accept support after the number of calls and messages I was getting from the “real good people” all around the world overwhelmed me.

These real good people who chose to support are being referred to as” Crazy” by one blogger who only pries on people’s downfall to having content. Shm.

As I was saying, a lot of people who called prayed for her situation, others insisted on supporting her and they are asking how. I discussed that with her and she said ‘no’! She has her family so she will be fine.

She was willing to rely only on her family and balance to bounce back even if it takes a while.

I had to inform her family about people wanting a way to support her. Plus, we got a screenshot of scammers posting a MoMo support number even when we had not officially announced one. All these included, we decided to accept support from the public.

After all even the ocean accepts rainwater when it comes.

Beverly is human, she is not filthy rich and she never claims to be. She was comfortable and yes she was not broke! And not being broke does not denote being filthy rich unless a writer had an ulterior motive. Get it clear, Until the fire that exhumed everything Beverly was never broke, she was comfortable just like her siblings. She hustles hard for her money with her husband doing his part.

She mentioned Yvonne Nelson’s plan to set up a Gofundme and she wasn’t sure if she wanted that. I am guessing she had in mind what some mindless storyless directionless bloggers, and some of you heartless derogatory social media commenters; can do. I told her to let it because what she had lost was a great deal. When we “say” she lost ”everything” we mean everything.

Her office running B.A.B handyman had only documents kept there. Everything else about her business was at home- including products we had just restocked for @celebrityhall shop and other materials and equipment for her new sharwama business we intended to roll out soon. Goods shipped into the country which was stored in two empty big rooms for our go-big plan in 2022 were all lost in the fire. A great percentage of her investment we liquified for a big move. Have a tenth look at the flames if you find the video and you will see it was not an empty house blazing.

See! I am talking too much. Any other person in her shoes will probably give up on this life but here she is firm after crying for a few hours.

I believe she needs the support if she plans to get back on her feet sooner. If not; as she had wanted; it may take a little while but she will bounce back regardless.

LEAVE BEVERLY ALONE!, we are not asking for your money you derogatory commenters. we have not held anyone at gunpoint to donate to us, YOU HAVE A CHOICE to donate or not. We simply opened up for the real good people who insisted. If you won’t support keep your money. We wish you the best. And just maybe if some of you have a problem with her and want to drag her name into mud, at least have some decency and leave her family out of it.
