Stonebwoy in the early hours of Monday, October 3 had to throw in the towel and make way for another Ghanaian act to be picked to perform on his slot at the upcoming MTV Africa Music Video Awards 2016 in South Africa, set for October 22.
Due to overbooked concerts, the 2015 BET Winner (Stonebwoy), and his Team had to narrowly cancel the South African gig due to booked concerts in the U.K. for him this October. He is due to perform at the historic O2 Arena on October 21st and he also performs at the Ghana Music Awards UK 2016 at Dominion Centre in London on November 5.
“Flight schedules and tight itinerary wouldn’t permit us to make it to the MTV Awards because our 1st show in the U.K. is on 21st and the next day which is 22nd would be the MTV MAMAs so we can’t make it. We tried everything we could to squeeze in to play but it couldn’t work out so we had to miss that opportunity. But we are sure they would pick any of our Ghanaian colleague artistes to represent us there”, Stonebwoy’s Road Manager, Blakk Cedi confirms.
