Ghana’s chart topping and award winning dancehall star Stonebwoy will headline the maiden edition of the Great Volta Carnival and Peace Concert slated for Saturday 26th of November in Ho.

The Bhim Nation icon will be supported by two black beauties in Ho. The household dancehall diva Kaakie and new sensation Ebony.

The Great Volta Carnival is an initiative of Globafest in partnership with leading peace and youth advocacy outfit, One Ghana.

A street procession of traditional dancers, grand Ghanaian costumes and colourful cultural troupes would commence the carnival in the regional capital Ho.

The Great Volta Carnival aims to showcase and celebrate the rich culture of the people of the Volta Region and beyond as well as drum the chorus of peace ahead of, during and after the 2016 general elections in Ghana.

The Great Volta Carnival seeks to bring together the various tribes of the Volta Region to showcase their rich culture in a party atmosphere, variety of local food, music and great entertainment.

According to the organisers, the second part of the event would see thousands flocking to the Ho Jubilee Park for the Peace and Unity concert.

The show will project the top ten homegrown stars from the Volta region including Bongo-I, Enamily, Kemenya, Seyfame, Blaq Originator, Kasare, Remy J, Maestro, Kush Elikem and Tuuwise. New act Okay Music would also grace the stage with his hit song “Gimme That”.

The Great Volta Carnival would be covered by local and international media.

The celebration would embrace royalty, host dignitaries from all walks of life, welcome many stars and celebrities, as well as NGO’s and international agencies.
