In the latest episode of Africa Magic’s Shoot Your Shot, host Bisola Aiyeola brings her signature vibrant energy as she plays cupid to match two prospective love birds who met in a banking hall.
Vivian Arinze, a 22-year-old drug analyst and masseuse reached out to the Shoot Your Shot team to help her woo her crush Chinedu, who makes her feel “special and safe”.
Vivian met Chinedu, 26, at a bank while looking for a pen to fill a form. They struck up a conversation and developed a friendship that has lasted for over a year.
Chinedu’s last relationship got wobbly due to distance. His girlfriend at the time left Nigeria, and they drifted apart. But they never really broke it off, and this has left him wondering if he’s single. He was nonetheless excited to meet his secret admirer when the Shoot Your Shot team reached out to him.
When the time for the unveiling came, he was pleasantly surprised to find out that the secret admirer was Vivian. They settled into their date and Vivian got right into it. She asked him why he hadn’t asked her out yet seeing that they have known each other for over a year now. Chinedu says he has many female friends around him and doesn’t like to be caged by one person. He also has a female best friend, which most girls don’t take likely. According to him, any girl that wants him should be able to accommodate his best friend.
This didn’t deter Vivian who went on to ask him to be her boyfriend. And after what felt like forever, Chinedu said yes to her proposal. The episode ended with smiles, hugs and kisses as the two love birds couldn’t get enough of each other.
