Unfortunately, no Ghanaian artists was nominated for this year’s BET awards. As sad as it may seem , “Wild Alert Lyrical Entertainer” otherwise known as Shatta Wale is unaffected by the sad news. Rather, he makes mockery of other Ghanaian artists for not making to the 2019 BET awards nomination list.
He tweeted: “International Nominations come ooo and our Ghanaian international artiste are not there ooooo🤣🤣🤣🤣 ..I beg let me concentrate on my Local awards and go collect all in Jesus name …🙏🏽🙏🏽 2knowww life go kill Ghana artiste ..mcheeeeewww😂😂😂😂”
It’s significant to point out, he beat the likes of globally recognized musicians; Damian Marley, Morgan Heritage, Sean Paul, Wiz Khalifa and more to win “Best International Video” at the just ended International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) in Jamaica for his most talked about video, Gringo.
