Self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr. known in music circles as Shatta Wale has been enskinned ‘Dancehall Naa’ (Dancehall King) in Tamale by the Chief of Tamale, Dakpema Naa, Nyab Fuseini Bawa at a short ceremony. This put to rest his self-acclaimed tittle as he is now officially enskinned with the title by the Tamale Chief and his elders.
The Chief of Tamale observed that Shatta wale has been dedicated to what he does and therefore encourages the youth to live up to their dreams.
On his part, the celebrated musician expressed his appreciation to the Tamale Chief, Elders, the people and youth of Tamale for the honor bestowed upon him. He said “I know your prayers and love will fortify this union and open the doors for the youth of Tamale and the rest of northern Ghana.”
Shatta wale who is the headline artist on the Storm Reigns Concert at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale promised to thrill funs at the event and encourage all and sundry to grace the occasion to mark this year’s Edul-Fitr celebration.
Shatta together his Militants will share stage with Tamale’s “Rappers Jack” Macassio and other supporting acts like One-naira, Gaffachi, Flawa Gaskia, Fadi Lan among others on Saturday, 8th June, 2019.
