Gabi currently has over 16 songs, working with popular sound engineers including Richkeys, Beatz Dakay, Tom Beatz, Master Gazy, Martins and many more. Gabi aims to become a world-class female artiste in the industry, and to be a role model for up and coming female artistes, as well as to be able to educate and empower females in the country through music.
Her trademark is ‘WHOAT’, meaning (World Hood Originated Artiste Trend), when she exclaims “WHOAT”, her fans respond “TO THE WORLD”. Gabi is under the umbrella of the Bhim Nation Family and known in the family as the Queen Of Bhim.
Her real name is Addei Bernice Gabriella, which easily lends meaning to her moniker GABI which stands for ‘Ghanaian Artiste Broadcast Internationally’. She hails from Efiduase in the Ashanti region. She is the first of 6 children of Emmanuel Addei and Janet Serwaa Addei.
Gabi had her basic education in Tema Community 5 Primary School and proceeded to the Aggrey Road Junior High School. For her senior high school education, she attended Our Lady of Mercy School (OLAMS). Gabi graduated from the University of Wineba with a Degree in Science Education.
She is currently working on a project called Women Empowerment where she gives hope and words of encouragement to young girls to take their education serious and blend it with talent.
Gabi has been doing music for a couple of years now but came into the lime light almost two years ago, with her sweet melody and versatility. She has already made impact on the music scene sharing stages with the likes Of Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Edem, Jupitar, Mz Vee, Gasmilla, R2bees, Yaa Pono, Kakie, Bisa, Kwabena Kwabena, and Efya.
Her role models in the Ghana music industry are Itz Tiffany, Kakie and her Godfather Stonebwoy. She also looks up to international artistes like ASA, Davido, Pink, Eminem and Lil Wayne.
Gabi is a Christian and believes she had her inspiration for music from God Almighty. Her hard work has brought so far brought her over 100 recognized shows. Gabi is the first artiste signed on the Project Rewind Entertainment Record Label. Project Rewind Ghana is an innovative company that is into managing artistes, event organizing, branding, advertising and product launching. It has over five years of experience and expertise in tailoring events such as parties (raves), concerts, beauty pageants and miscellaneous auditorium shows.
Project Rewind Ghana has supported more than 30 successful events including Miss Tourism Fashion Night, Glitz Fashion Week, Woodin Fashion Night, and A Night With Gabi (Kalabule Chill Zone Street Carnival).
