Selena Gomez has reportedly been admitted into a mental health facility due to having an ’emotional breakdown’ after being hospitalized twice in a short span of time.
According to TMZ, Selena was first hospitalized during the last week of September by a family friend. She was “despondent and emotional over an alarmingly low white blood cell count in the wake of her kidney transplant”.
The singer was re-admitted late last week because her low blood cell count persisted, and it threw her into a downward emotional spiral. She experienced an emotional breakdown when she tried to leave the hospital and was told she couldn’t.
Selena is currently receiving DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), a treatment used for various mental health conditions at a psychiatric facility.
