Priscilla Akosua-Boatemaa Owusu known as Scilla Owusu is a 22 year British Ghanaian Director, Screen Writer, & Producer born in London, UK. The young director is poised on changing conversation through film & music videos with her Creative talents and intricate eye of detail.
In 2015, at the age of 18, Scilla Owusu was awarded best web series ensemble at the prestigious Screen Nation Media Awards for the digital online category.
After releasing her online series “A lesson Learnt”, Scilla seriously went into film and music video industry; she has worked with a number of Africa’s renowned artistes including heavyweights like Stonebwoy, Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi, Afro B, Patoranking, Sarkodie, just to name a few.
Scilla’s journey in the game hasn’t been a smooth one. But she’s very keen on breaking new grounds and opening more doors for future young entrepreneurs. Thus, she has designed a workshop dubbed “Youngtrepreneurs” which seeks to improve social impact through ‘intimate’ engagements. The core goals are to provide youth led workshops in different creative sectors, infusing professional expertise from Ghanaian experts to improving knowledge, gaining job experience, and providing jobs in the medium to long term for young creative talents in Ghana. Scilla also seeks to improve gender equality especially the empowerment of women and girls.
The workshop will be launched in August 2019 in Accra Ghana to get updated with all information concerning this great initiative follow;
