Organizers of the annual music festival dubbed ‘Bliss On The Hills’ have announced that this year’s edition of the festival will take place at Kwahu Abetifi in the Eastern Region on December 25-31.

The week-long music festival will witness live performances from over 28 Ghanaian highlife, hiplife, dancehall and gospel artistes.

The festival is intended to create and promote sustainable businesses and open up job opportunities for the people of the Eastern Region through the arts.

‘Bliss On The Hills’ will welcome music lovers on Christmas Day with gospel concert which will feature artistes such as Yaw Sarpong, Francis Amo, Ceccy Twum, Diana Asamoah, Gifty Osei, Obaapa Christy, Francis Adjei and Kesewa.

On December 26 (Boxing Day), there will be a boxing tournament dubbed ‘The Night of Champions’, which will feature boxing heavyweights such as Bukom Banku, Ayittey Powers, Jacob Laryea, Isaac Tetteh, Kabiru Towolawi, Emmanuel Danso, Michael Osunla, among others.

There will be a hiplife and Afro-pop music concert on Thursday, December 27 and artistes billed to rock the stage are Wendy Shay, Dabble, Bisa Kdei, Liwin, Captain Planet, Praye, VVIP, Dada Hafco, Obrafour, among others.

According to the organisers, a reggae and dancehall music concert will also take place on Saturday, December 29.

Dancehall artistes billed for the show are Ras Kuuku, Jupitar, Samini, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and a host of others. Jamaican superstar Tarrus Riley will headline the concert.

Apart from the various musical events, a number of activities like cultural musical performances have also been lined up by the organisers to entertain the residents of Kwahu Abetifi.
