Since 2010, the SABOLAI RADIO Music Festival has drawn acclaim for consistently putting the best and brightest artists on blast. The festival features an energetic combination of internationally renowned headline artists and emerging music makers. The regional music celebration is church for Accra’s alternative music heads and grows high capacity crowds with each year.

The 2016 LineUp
From December 21 – 23rd, SABOLAI RADIO sets off with THE LABS – a series of film screenings, workshops and panels on music licensing, network development and resource mobilization methods for artists at the ACCRA [dot] ALT Radio Space in James Town (Brazil House, 2-9pm).
The next two days will feature over 25 live performances at Efua Sutherland Park (3-10pm). Popular for a unique music lineup, this year’s event includes a vibrant blend of inventive music artists. JOJO ABOT’s psychedelic Borbobor funk headlines our 7th edition, along with JOEY B, WORLASI, MensaHighlife, UK artist Rich BLK, JAYSO and Boston-based, Ghanaian poet PRISCILLA AZAGLO. Other favorites to watch for are KACEY MOORE, AYAT, RENNER, SHUGA, ZEPORA DICKSON and Nigerian rapper TINUKE among a dozen other exciting artists participating in the festival.

The Cookout @ SABOLAI unveils a delicious market of food and drink options for all music fans.
New additions to this year’s SABOLAI RADIO include a Vinyl Exhibition highlighting the funky musical diversity of Ghana’s cultures.
DJ K3V serves up the Day Party at the park, blending vintage Ghanaian music with the electric pulse of African house, soul, hip hop, tropical bass and Afropop (3-5pm). On the 23rd, a super DJ set featuring KEYZUZ, Rvdical the Kid and T’Challa brings the AfterDarkinto full effect from 10pm-midnight. Diehard dancing for those into EDM, grime, Afrobeat, bass riddims and hip hop.
