The line-up of celebrities that will be present at the event continues to grow and Thicke has just been added to the list.
This would be Thicke’s first performance in South Africa and he will be accompanied alongside local artists.
Last year the awards ceremony was headlined by international R&B sensation Jason Derulo who caused a twitter uproar when he asked the audience if they understood English.
Thicke last released an album in 2014 called Paula, named after his ex-wife with whom he had a highly publicised divorce.
