It’s safe to say the BBNaija Level Up season has served all the entertainment it promised at the start of the season. After spending ten weeks on the show, the fate of the six finalists (Daniella, Chichi, Adekunle, Bella, Bryann, and Phyna) was revealed and a winner was crowned on Sunday, October 2, 2022.

BBNaija Level Up 10 weeks insights

According to data compiled by ID Africa, a Pan-African PR and communications advisory company, and Plaqad, a marketing and technology tool, the Live Finale Show generated the highest number of online conversations throughout the 72 days of the season. Although Sheggz and Groovy did not make it to the finals, conversations about their relationships and performances got them enough online mentions to secure spots on the top 5 most talked about housemates’ list at the end of the season.

Till the last day of the show, the Level Up housemates understood the assignment of serving premium content laced with friendships, drama, quarrels, gossip, reconciliations, disappointments, and wins. From the data gathered, over 6 million fans and viewers of BBNaija published more than 22 million posts about the show. This generated about 48 billion digital impressions. Compared to the Shine Ya Eye season in 2021, an additional 1.3 million fans joined the BBNaija online conversation which produced 7 million more online posts about the show.

Not only did Phyna walk away with the 100 million Naira cash prize as the winner of the Level Up season, she also emerged as the most talked about BBNaija housemate from July 23, 2022, when the show premiered till October 2, 2022, — the grand finale day. With more than four million online mentions, she appeared at the top of the chart 37 times this season. It is also interesting to note that Phyna now sits on the wall of fame as the second female to ever win BBNaija since it debuted in 2006.

Taking the place of the first runner-up for this season, Bryann the artiste and music enthusiast secured the third spot among the top five most talked about housemates this season. On the other hand, Bella – the second runner-up clinched the fifth position on the chart with over 2 million online mentions.

Big Brother’s twists and turns (like the introduction of the different Levels, fake housemates, Riders, tail of house, and surprise dinners) were all that the show needed to bring back all the spice and entertainment the audience crave in a reality TV show.
