Ray Vanny won the nod for BET Awards Viewers’ Choice: Best New Act International Award. The other nominees included Skip Marley (Jamaica), Remi (Australia), Ray Vanny (Tanzania), Jorja Smith (UK), Dave (UK), Daniel Caesar (Canada), Change (Korea), Amanda Black (South Africa).
Stormzy won the nod for BET Best International, Europe. The international category was pre-recorded on Saturday ahead of the main BET Awards. South Africa’s Nomzamo Mbatha co-hosted the International Awards stage alongside US model Eva Marcille.
The Global Good Awards were also presented iconic singer South African singer and activist, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, as well as Somalian activist, Ilwad Elman.
