Wayde made history when he broke the 17-year-old 400-metres World Record by Michael Johnson at the recent Rio Olympics 2016.
Ever since Wayde’s incredible win South Africa has been rejoicing and celebrating him. He arrived at OR Tambo Airport on Wednesday morning to a frenzy of fans and a jaw-dropping surprise from Audi South Africa.

Wayde drove home in a fancy new red Audi R8 worth approximately $128,460, which is understood to be Audi’s congratulatory gift to him. Speaking at the airport Wayde said that he feels incredibly blessed to be spoilt by Audi.
