The Sanitation and Environmental Development Community (SEDCOM) in collaboration with Models Union of Ghana (MODUGA) embarked on a clean-up exercise in Jamestown Accra Central.

The Exercise brought together active stakeholders in the sector to create awareness while engaging the community members in the clean-up exercise.

The Exercise was the second edition and was aimed at encouraging proper waste disposal, promote clean environments and reduce diseases on the citizenry.

During the clean-up exercise, member of LEO group of Legon and No Limit charity Foundation engaged the people of the area on the need to practice proper waste disposal and prevent littering

Seth Owusu Appiah, the Founder and CEO of SEDCOM emphasized on the need for attitudinal change and proper waste disposal practices is the way as we fight against harmful diseases and prevention of future flooding in Accra.

He pledged community support from SEDCOM to sustain this exercise and future plans to curb improper conduct in our communities.

Madam Lillian Sally Addo expressed satisfaction of the participation of Models in this exercise and pledged future support from MODUGA.

She called on a collective effort from all stakeholders and individuals to support future clean up exercises.

The committee members of the area Ngleshie expressed their delight and thanked SEDCOM and MODUGA for a successful clean up exercise.

Guinness Ghana Limited supported the clean-up exercise with lots of assorted drinks for refreshment while Ameyawdebrah.com gave their unwavering support as usual.
