The former Captain was killed after some residents of Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region claimed they mistook him for an armed robber.
Present at the state burial were several dignitaries including former presidents J.A Kufuor and John Dramani Mahama (who is an uncle to the late Maxwell Mahama).
During the wake-keeping vigil on Thursday, many Ghanaians including musicians visited the Burma Camp residence of the late Maxwell Adam Mahama to mourn with the family.
On Wednesday, June 7, gospel musicians SP Kofi Sarpong, Tagoe Sisters and Women in Performing Arts (WIPA) were at the house to also pay tribute to the slain Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama.
