The Galaxy S8 and S8+ were officially launched in Ghana at week with an exhibition at the Accra Mall and a fun engagement with influencers at the One Airport Square dubbed the Galaxy Revelation. Influencers present at the Friday night event included bloggers and radio personalities. 

The ‘Influencers Edition’ was hosted by Jay Foley of Live Fm and DJ Vyrusky of Starr Fm, and it was an evening of music, cocktails, food,competitions and VR games.

Already being touted as the smartphone to have, the S8 and S8+ comes in smooth polished aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass 5 front and back, IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. With a massive 5.8″ inch screen for the S8 and a 6.2″ 18.5:9 aspect ratio for the S8 +, the sleek curved screens comes with glorious 4k displays.

One of the major additions to the S8 and S8+ is Bixby Samsung’s new Virtual Assistant. Bixby is activated with a dedicated button on the left side of your phone. Attached to the S8+ is a bundle of AKG earphones but users with s8 would have to buy the AKG earphones separately . Both phones run on Android 7.1 Nougat and the seamless Samsung Grace UX design.

The Samsung S8 and Samsung 8+ have the latest Snapdragon 835 being the first smartphone in the world to get this much of smartphone processing power.The storage in the base model is now 64GB.  It also packs 4GB RAM and has an expandable storage of microSD slot for cards up to 256G. Both devices come withUSB Type-C for your fast charging experience, Bluetooth 5.0, fingerprint reader, iris recognition and face recognition.
