Fashion Forum Ghana, in its final event of 2016, urged fashion industry insiders to consider trading in the ECOWAS region and exploit Trade Fairs as a viable marketing tool. What was the fourth edition of the Forum, audience members participated in the Styles of West Africa panel discussion on this hot topic. Moderated by award-winning journalist, Esther Armah, the event saw 100 audience members contributing to the debate.
December’s topic discussed benefits of Trading in West Africa and Trade Fair participation as a way to expose products. The panelists were: Mr Alexander Dadzawa, Head of Marketing & Promotions (Trade Fairs) – GEPA, Ghana Exports Promotion Authority, Madame Marie KIPRE, CEO & Creative Director of fashion brand Totally Ethnik and Mrs. Leticia Sam, CEO, Tishy’s Textiles. The trio also spoke about their experiences, and shared their perspectives and ideas at the Forum.

And in true fashion, a selection of nubian models sashayed down a runway gloriously dressed in Ivorian fashion label, Totally Ethnik’s new collection ‘Colours of the Earth’, which wowed the crowd.
Effervescent Public Relations guru and the brainchild behind Fashion Forum Ghana, Ms Makeba Boateng said the fashion talk series have been a resounding success. She remarked, “Fashion Forum acts as a platform for discussion and debate, a round table/interactive exchange to encourage dialogue amongst the fashion business community. The forum is an Independent Advisory service to its stakeholders, to help enhance the fashion business community development towards industry”
Ms. Boateng further concluded, “Fashion Forum will cause an epidemic of people pushing fashion forward collectively within their respectful interconnections within Fashion”.
The talk series is popular amongst, designers, fashion media, models, students, Photographers, tailors, seamstresses and dressmakers, buyers and business owners, creative artists as well as the impressive makeup and beauty fields. Fashion Forum Ghana 4 also played host to special guests, creative genius Papa Oppong, a fashion designer/illustrator and in-house designer at studio189.
